Role Objective

​

To support the management team in providing engineering solutions for asset replacement across a varied portfolio of real estate projects.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

​

The primary function of the role is to ensure the SPV is not exposed to increased levels of risk and to maximise shareholder return. This is achieved through a proactive approach to asset replacement, working with our Asset & Advisory and Operational colleagues in identifying engineering solutions that meet the commercial requirements of the contracts. In addition the role will involve an element of auditing of M&E installations to ensure compliance with O&M’s for early warning of issues and to verify assets requiring replacement.

  • Undertake day-to-day audit management within our managed portfolio

  • Compile and deliver concise reporting of audit findings for analysis and review internally and with the SPV

  • Experience of producing audit data analysis and trend reports for management purposes.

  • Strong understanding of statutory and industry practice requirements

  • Demonstrable ability to provide technical assistance to both technical and non-technical within the business

  • Proven ability to successfully manage time keeping and work content while working as an individual and as part of a small team

  • Review external third-party technical appointments and reports for appropriateness

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence, challenge and engage people during audits.

  • Ability to make independent decisions and work on own initiative within a team environment.

  • A self-starter with a positive and motivated approach, professional at all times. Driven by quality and providing the highest standards of service at all times

Experience

​

  • HND / Degree level in M&E related discipline or suitable equivalent experience

  • FM experience and understanding of delivery

  • Membership of a professional body • Technical background in M&E services – experience of auditing M&E installations

  • Understanding of lifecycle asset replacement and change control management (variations)

  • Demonstrable working knowledge and effective use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

  • Effective communicator both verbal and written

​

Personal Attributes

​

  • Experience of working in a PFI / PPP environment may suit well but not essential.

  • Consultancy background may suit well but not essential.
